Suli the Sulcata Tortoise

Suli was brought to EcoLand as a hatchling (a young animal that has recently emerged from its egg) in April, 2017. He was tiny, but in the next few years he will more than double in size! Suli could live to be between 50-150 years old and get as big as 250 pounds! That means he will weigh more than most moms and dads and live longer than them too! He loves to eats grass and hay and even some types of flowers. His favorite are hibiscus leaves. He also loves to eat fruit like strawberries and vegetables like spinach! Do you like to eat fruits and veggies? This type of tortoise are found in the wild in the Sahara Dessert in Africa, and are the third largest tortoise species in the world! He loves to burrow (dig holes) so you may have to look really hard to see him!

How big do you think Suli will get? Can you make a guess with your arms?
